THE MOTHERHOOD PROJECT - READING AT THE CELL THEATRE

Written by Christy, The Motherhood Project is a new play about the decision to become -- or not become -- a mother in these apocalyptic times. It will have a theatrical reading on October 7th at 7pm at The Cell Theatre through the City Artist Corps Grants program in New York City. Admission is free. It was developed as part of SOCIETY Theatre’s Salon series, as well as with Neon Caviar’s Neon Nights at the Carriage House in the Western Catskills. Directed by Stephanie Jean Lane (Fort Trumbull), it features Christy as well as actors Marinda Anderson (New Amsterdam), Rosa Gilmore (The Expanse), Keren Lugo (New Amsterdam), Kedren Spencer (Manifest), and Sarah Todes (GAMP).

GNIT BY WILL ENO - THEATRE FOR A NEW AUDIENCE

Christy will play a variety of roles in the New York premiere of GNIT by Will Eno, running Off-Broadway at Theatre for a New Audience. Directed by Oliver Butler.  Peter Gnit, a modern-day version of Ibsen’s heroic character Peer Gynt, is a carefree young man on a reckless search for Experience and the True Self. Armed with tales from his mother of his early greatness and his absent father, he heads out into the world. Like all true stories of human endeavor and adventure, Gnit is part horror story, part fairy tale, and part road movie. A timely reckoning with received notions of Rugged Individualism and the self-made person. Runs October 30 - November 21.

UNDER THE LANTERN LIT SKY PREMIERES AT BROOKLYN FILM FESTIVAL

Christy plays the role of Stella in the feature film Under the Lantern Lit Sky. Written by Jaclyn Bethany and directed by Michelle Bossy, Under the Lantern Lit Sky explores the new marriage of a young couple in 1927 Mississippi, who in different ways are coming to terms with their sexuality. The film had its festival debut at the Brooklyn Film Festival in June.

THE FALLING WORLD - FEATURE FILM

Christy filmed the role of Blair in the feature film The Falling World, written and directed by Jaclyn Bethany, the second film in her pandemic-themed trilogy following Before the World Set on Fire.  screenplay she penned. Set in 1992 on the eve of the Clinton-Bush election and the fallout of the AIDS crisis, the pic follows a group of law students as they venture to a holiday property where a girl previously disappeared under mysterious circumstances.

LOSER LEAVES TOWN ON HBO

Loser Leaves Town, a short film directed by Mark Nickelsburg, is currently streaming on HBOMax and airing across multiple HBO channels. A young boy retreats into a fantasy world until it is infiltrated by a tough 12-year-old girl. Christy plays Miranda the candy shop owner.

UNTITLED SHORT FILM ABOUT WHITE PEOPLE PREMIERES ON OMELETO

Christy plays the lead in Untitled Short Film About White People, a short comedy written and directed by NYU Film grad Nicholas Colia. It was selected as one of the 'Best of Fest' at the Palm Springs International Short Fest and won 'Best Live Action Short' at Cleveland International Film Festival. It has also screened at the Brooklyn Film Festival, Quebec City Film Festival, Calgary International Film Festival, St. Cloud Film Festival, Pittsburgh Shorts Film Festival, and Newport Beach Film Festival. It was recently released on Omleto, a Youtube platform for the wold's best short films.

BEGINNING DAYS OF TRUE JUBILATION BY MONA MANSOUR - SOCETY THEATRE

A visionary vows to create a life-changing product, with the smartest minds of her generation ecstatically on board. What could possibly go wrong? A satirical journey through the cult-like, group-think of winner-take-all capitalism, from the early euphoria of a new start-up through its epic crash and burn. BDOTJ was developed by SOCIETY Theatre from January 2019 to July 2020. It premiered virtually on July 24, 2020, as part of New Ohio Theatre’s Ice Factory Festival. Originally fashioned for a live theatre space, the stage production is set to premiere in 2022 in New York City.
