Bio

Christy Escobar is a non-union actress residing in New York City. She is currently a third-year MFA candidate in the NYU Graduate Acting Program.Born and raised in California, she grew up performing plays and skits for her excessively large family of twelve. She studied abroad in Spain at age sixteen, where she became bilingual and starred in a Spanish-language play. Christy earned her BFA in Acting from UC Santa Barbara, where she graduated with Honors. As an undergrad, she was featured in many productions and student films, and worked as an acting apprentice at the Berkshire Theatre Festival in Massachusetts.Since relocating to New York, she has booked several short films and worked at the Dorset Theatre Festival in beautiful Vermont. She graduates in May 2012.
